Battery/Drumline Specialist

Wyatt Vermillion

is an emerging arranger, composer, and sound designer in the Mid-South, steadily establishing himself as a creative and dedicated voice within the marching percussion community. Through a growing portfolio of collaborative projects and original compositions, Wyatt continues to build a reputation for producing engaging, educational, and impactful music for ensembles of all levels.

Wyatt began composing in the 7th grade, driven by a passion for percussion and a curiosity about how music is created. What started as writing short percussion features has since developed into the ability to compose complete indoor percussion productions, percussion ensemble works, battery features, and full marching band shows in collaboration with wind arrangers. Having now participated in multiple collaborative projects, he has gained valuable experience working alongside other designers to create cohesive musical productions that blend percussion, winds, and electronics into a unified performance.

In addition to composing and arranging, Wyatt has recently expanded his skill set into sound design, using Apple MainStage to create custom synth patches, atmospheric textures, electronic effects, and production elements for marching band and indoor percussion productions. This growing expertise allows him to integrate modern electronic soundscapes with traditional percussion writing, giving ensembles greater opportunities for creative and immersive performances.

A native of Atoka, Tennessee, Wyatt currently attends Munford High School, where he continues to refine his musicianship and compositional abilities. His primary instrument is quads (tenor drums), though his experience spans virtually every area of the percussion section. Throughout his performance career, he has performed snare drum, bass drum, and quads, as well as front ensemble instruments, and completed a season on rack/auxiliary percussion during 8th grade. In 2026, he also marched with Grind City Percussion based in Memphis, Tennessee, further strengthening his performance experience at a competitive level.

As he continues to grow as a designer, Wyatt remains committed to writing music that challenges performers, supports educational growth, and creates memorable experiences for audiences. He is excited to continue collaborating with talented educators, arrangers, and performers while bringing creativity, discipline, innovation, and enthusiasm to every project.

Front/ Pit Specialist

is a music designer, composer, and percussion educator based in Clinton Township, Michigan, with a passion for creating engaging musical experiences in the marching arts.

Oscar Maloney

Specializing in marching band and indoor WGI productions, he focuses on front ensemble arranging, sound design, and electronic integration, crafting programs that blend musicality, creativity, and visual impact. His approach emphasizes thoughtful storytelling through music while supporting the unique goals and identity of each ensemble he works with.

In 2024, Oscar marched with Motor City Percussion as a member of the front ensemble, gaining valuable experience performing at a high level of indoor percussion. His time as both a performer and designer has shaped his understanding of the activity from multiple perspectives, allowing him to connect with students and directors while developing effective, educational, and impactful productions.

Alongside his design work, Oscar provides sound design for winter color guard and teaches both marching band front ensemble and concert percussion. He is dedicated to helping students build strong technical fundamentals, musical confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. Whether in rehearsal, the classroom, or the design process, he strives to create a positive learning environment that encourages growth, collaboration, and excellence.

As an emerging composer and educator, Oscar is continually refining his voice within the marching arts through new projects, collaborations, and ongoing study. He is currently pursuing his goal of becoming a professional composer and private percussion instructor, with a commitment to writing innovative music and mentoring the next generation of performers and musicians.
